Dear Parents,
Please call the office to schedule a parent teacher conference.  We have conferences scheduled for January 22-25.  Those are all half days and Friday, January 26 is a half day for the students.  Teachers have professional development. There have been a few notices send home about these dates.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
This week we do not have spelling or high frequency words.  The students are doing their Unit 2 assessment.  Spelling and High Frequency words will resume next week.
Please continue to work on math facts with your child. It is important for the students to know them without using their fingers or number line.  Knowing their math facts will help them now and in the future.  It will only take a few minutes each day and you can do them anywhere.
A letter went home yesterday about conferences.  Please call the office to schedule an appointment!  Conferences are the week of January 22- January 25.  The students have early dismissal the whole week due to Teacher Professional Development on Friday, January 26.

I am very happy to announce that our school now has IXL!! IXL is a website that has great Math and ELA practice for your children.  I really like this program and I hope that you do to.  I will be sending home a parent letter today with the login information.  Please, have your child practice logging on by themselves so it will be easier and quicker for them to logon in the classroom.  I do think it will be great for the students to logon as much as possible.  Any questions please feel free to ask.

Good Morning,
Just a reminder that on Thursday, December 14th, you were able to view your child's report card online.

Good afternoon,
Happy Friday! The students have their test folders today.  The Reading Assessment that is in their folder is a Unit Assessment.  It assessed the content learned in Unit 1.  All the items were read to the students.
Today, we took the weekly assessment on the computer! The grades were posted on oncourse.  Again all the items were read to the students.
Please continue to read with your child at home.  It is very important.
Reminder: Next Wednesday, November 22, 2017 is a 12:35 dismissal.  The students can bring a snack on early dismissal days.

Good Afternoon!
This week we will not have new Spelling words or High Frequency words due to the short week.  We are reviewing in class and completing a unit assessment.
Please remember Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week we do not have school.
This is a reminder about Wonders Online.  If your child misplaced the Spelling words you can always find them online.  I sent home the website and the login information.  Most students know how to login.  On the class website under "links" you will find the Wonders Website.  If possible, I would like all the students to log on during this short week to work on their reading skills.

  • This week is the book fair.  Students have the opportunity to shop during the day.
  • Tomorrow is Tie dye or most colorful shirt day and Friday is Hat day.  Students must wear uniforms.
  • Monday October 29th: Our Potluck Dinner.  Please join us for a fun night and to enjoy our School 9 family.
